When you run Merge for the first time, you will be asked to enter your name, serial number, email address, and additional optional information. Merge will attempt to provide this information automatically to Araxis. For information about completing the registration dialog, please see Registration. See Data Collection for information about how and why this information is provided to Araxis.
It is possible that Merge may be unable to connect to the Araxis website to provide your registration information to Araxis. This could happen if, for example, you are not connected to the Internet or if you are behind a company firewall that prohibits web access. This will not stop you from using Merge.
