This reference is intended for system developers who wish to work with Ketura programmatically.
The API has been designed as a web service based on the principles of REST (REpresentational State Transfer). All that is required to use the Ketura API Web Service is the ability to send HTTP requests and interpret the responses. Libraries to do this are readily available for nearly all modern programming languages.
Examples in the API reference use Python 2, a programming language that has support on many platforms including Windows, OS X and Unix-like systems (Linux, FreeBSD, Solaris, etc.). Of course, Python is not required – any language with a suitable HTTP library could be used. Some platforms (such as OS X) already have Python installed; other platforms may require you to install Python. Python is freely available to download from the Python website.
