Cambridge, England, 9 September 2003
Araxis Ltd has announced the immediate availability of Merge v6.5, the latest version of its renowned visual file comparison and merging application.
Merge is designed for developers, software engineers, web authors and other professionals who work with multiple revisions of text files or who need to keep multiple folder hierarchies in sync. Tight integration between file and folder comparison makes it easy to identify and review every change in every source file, even when comparing folder hierarchies containing thousands of files.
Built upon the solid foundation of Merge v6.0, the new release delivers dozens of often requested enhancements, such as the ability to create HTML reports of file and folder comparisons. Reports are especially useful for code review, code audit and release management. Other enhancements include improved regular expression support, a new Virtual File System (VFS) API and various user interface changes.
For the first time, the Merge user interface has been localized to support German, French, International Spanish and Chinese. Translation of the online help to German, French and Spanish is underway and will be delivered in a future update.
A free fully-functional evaluation version of Merge v6.5 is available for download from http://www.araxis.com/.
