Araxis Ltd, which develops productivity and workflow software for critical projects, has earned international acclaim at the annual Game Developer Magazine 'Front Line' Awards.
Araxis Merge, a unique visual file and folder comparison and merging application, was selected for an award in the Programming category by a panel of industry-leading game developers.
"The software and hardware companies who have answered the call for tools that enable faster and more efficient game creation deserve to be recognized for their efforts in advancing the state of the art", said Jennifer Olsen, editor-in-chief of Game Developer magazine.
Daniel Neades, a Director of Cambridge based Araxis Ltd, commented "Games are created in a high-pressure environment and developers don't have the time or resources to make mistakes or do things twice. We think it's vital that they can take advantage of tools that enable them to be certain everything is as it should be. So, once again, we're very proud that Merge is evidently offering that peace of mind."
