The About dialog shows the support expiry date associated with your Merge serial number. This has a different meaning, depending on whether you are using an evaluation or full (non-evaluation) serial number.
-
If your are using an evaluation serial number, the support expiry date indicates the date on which your evaluation will end. After this date, you will need to purchase a Merge licence if you wish to continue using Merge.
-
If you are using a full (non-evaluation) serial number, the support expiry date indicates the date on which your entitlement (as granted by your serial number) to further Merge updates and product support expires.
Even after your support has expired, you will continue to be entitled to use all versions of Merge released before your support
expiry date. However, you will need to renew support if you wish to be able to use new versions of Merge released after your
serial number’s support expiry date. For further information, please see the upgrade and support renewal page on the Araxis website.
If you have provided Merge with an evaluation serial number, the Licence type field on the About dialog will say Professional Evaluation.
