The Product Downloads and Updates page at the Araxis Website provides several different ways to install Merge. There are three Setup Packages that can be downloaded and installed. The table below describes each packaging scheme.

| Full (Self-Extractor including OS updates) |
This executable Setup Package contains everything that is needed to install Merge on to your computer. Operating System update information is included within the package in case updates are required in order to run Merge successfully. Setup will inform you if updates are required, and you can choose either to have them installed automatically for you, or whether you want to install them yourself. We recommend that first-time users of Merge use this Setup Package. Example filename: merge2008_win32_1234.exe. |
| Compact (Windows Installer .msi file without OS updates) |
If you have already installed Merge onto your computer, then no Operating System updates will be required for subsequent installations. You can therefore use this smaller Setup Package to install newer versions of Merge. This package can also be used by Systems Administrators intending to deploy Merge to remote clients. Example filename: merge2008_win32_1234.msi. |
