This page lets you confirm the switching of an alternative project to an active project.

An alternative project is a contingency plan for another project. As such, progress on the alternative contingency project can be tracked just like any other project. If needed, the contingency plan can be brought into effect by activating the alternative project. The following happens when this is done:

the primary project is made inactive;

the primary project becomes an alternative for the newly activated alternative project;

any users’ time allocated to the primary project is reallocated to the newly activated alternative project;

any other projects that were alternatives for the primary project become alternatives for the newly activated alternative project.
The alternative thus becomes the primary project, and the original primary project becomes the alternative. Users’ In progress and Pending tabs will immediately reflect the work outstanding in the newly activated project.
